The Number One Video On YouTube

I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth posting again. Barry and the Dems aren’t talking about the Iraq War much these days and that’s because they were on the wrong side of this the whole time. They know it even though they won’t admit it, and because they know that it hurts their chances in the election they avoid talking about it. As does the MSM, who had no problem talking about it when we were having a tough time over there. Now that it’s all but won, not so much.

And Barry is still wrong about it and won’t admit his wrongness.

It’s shameful.

Vote McCain!

  1. Do you have to go negative on EVERY post …
    It gets old TRO.

Just a suggestion … but it would be nice/refreshing to include some posts highlighting McCain’s merits instead of dwelling on Obamas negatives. It sometimes seems you bloggers are trying to OUTDO each other in mud-slinging …

You say vote for McCain tell us why … we already get the NOBAMA sermon.

    Thanks in Advance
    God Bless America

  2. Merit = John McCain came to my town today!!! And I saw him!!!

  3. Ed,

Quit reading if you don’t like what I write. I’m not exactly going to miss our exchanges if that is what you are worried about.

I’ve said plenty of good things about McCain. He is war hero. He has a ton of foreign policy experience. He is for as strong national defense and will not appease terrorists. He was right on the surge. He is for lower taxes. He is against socializing the government and our economy. He picked a smart, capable VP in Sarah Palin which helps offset his liberal tendencies because of her more traditional conservative views. He is for drilling and drilling now. His downsides are he is weak on immigration enforcement and he doesn’t want to drill in ANWAR. Other than that I like him very much.

He is pretty much everything Barry is not.

Oh, and it’s not negative to point out the problems with Barry. It’s not my fault if the truth stings a bit.

And by the way, I am not sure why, but that little God Bless America you have started adding to your comments reminds me of Barry all of a sudden wearing an American Flag pin.

If sounds forced. Why is that?

  4. So I guess you’re calling me “Un-American” … it sure sounds like it.
You probably expect a Wilder-like “G.D. America” from me ?

  5. Nope, I just saying you just started saying it, that’s all. Was Barry un-American for not wearing one until he needed more votes?

For the record, I don’t believe you are un-American, Ed. I just don’t think we believe in the same kind of America any longer. And I just don’t understand how you can believe in a man like Barry and think he could be good for America. We grew up in the same time, in the same town, attending for the most part the same schools, and for the life of me I shake my head every time you back the policies of this man. Then again, I do the same thing with my oldest son who just the other day said that socialism had some good things about it.

Where does that kind of insanity come from? In his case I figure I just dropped him on his head one too many times, but what is your excuse?

  6. “Quit reading if you don’t like what I write. I’m not exactly going to miss our exchanges if that is what you are worried about.”

    Ouch !!!
Surely you don’t actually mean that ?

Don’t take my questioning of your opinions offensively … I have merely tried to advance a dialogue whereby maybe we can learn more about the issues in this election. I HAVE learned a great deal from your blog and thank you for spending the time and energy to provide your opinions.

As post #5 above clearly shows … you intentionally end many of your responses with lead-ins to a follow up …. which suggests you do enjoy these exchanges ?

  7. Sorry to interrupt but . . .

I’ve seen that video several times and it STILL gives me chills and brings tears to my eyes. Every time.

  8. “Ouch !!!
Surely you don’t actually mean that ?”

If you’re asking if I enjoy arguing with you online, then yes, I mean it.

Probably it would be different face to face over a beer when we can read each other’s faces and get a better handle on what we mean – I know it would be better for me – but here, in these comment sections, I feel like it is a chore that never ends. And it never ends because you never, ever address the issue. You just bait and switch over and over again and it is tiring. Looking back a few posts there were at least seven factual statements I made based on links and I don’t think you addressed even one of them.

When you start doing that maybe I can enjoy these discussions. Until then they are just annoying the hell out of me. (And knowing you the way I do, I figure that at lot of times that is all you are trying to do.)

  9. BetteJo,

    Me too, me too.
