I’m in Dallas doing some training so I won’t be posting much. Be back home Thursday night I think.

Well I’m going to leave a comment anyway. My daughter who just graduated from college with 2 bachelors degrees, is going back to community college. She has decided she wants to become a nurse. She was home for a couple weeks and during that time we almost got into an argument about health care. She is totally liberal but it makes me crazy because she is so compassionate she wants everyone to be equally taken care of. She isn’t looking at the how and the whys, just the end result. Utopia, birds sing and butterflies flutter. But she is young and idealistic. What I am hoping is once she gets into the health care business – she will come around to my view of health care. We take care of our elderly, otherwise you get what you work for and for those who don’t work – there are free clinics and such. Sorry it that’s cold. But maybe being a nurse will help her see things differently. I can only hope, right?
I feel your pain. My very liberal oldest son is heading out to his teaching career with that same blind naive attitude and I simply CANNOT WAIT until he gets a taste of the real world. It’s good your daughter wants to help people but if we get government health care she will be in for a unpleasant surprise.
