The First Album I Remember Buying

Was Thick as a Brick. I had heard Tull’s songs (and other groups) on the radio, but had never really collected albums until I was about 15 or so. Late bloomer I guess. But after that I exploded into rock listening to everything from Black Sabbath to David Bowie and anything else I could find.

This was rock music. Not heavy metal, but good solid rock unlike most of the stuff put out today no matter how pretty the singer.

  1. Sheesh – I think the first album I ever bought was Burl Ives The Lollipop Tree! Then it would have progressed to Bobby Sherman, The Monkees, and then David Cassidy. Wow – you don’t have anything to worry about, you totally skipped the 10 year old girl thing.
