However You Feel About Gay Marriage

This really, really bad.  Seriously bad. Embarrassingly bad.  My ears started bleeding half-way through it.

It’s also somewhat amusing that the supporters (blacks and Latinos)  of the soon-to-be president overwhelmingly voted that marriage should be defined as between a man and a woman.  Without their votes it never would have passed and that’s a fact.   Not to mention that the new president this gal obviously voted for and who she is rapping so badly about is on the record as being against gay marriage as well.

So you can’t blame George Bush and conservative hate on this one.  Nope, look within my lame rapping babe.  Look within.

Also, in the brain-exploding irony department we have this.

Someone needs to explain to me why gays would be supporting a fanatical terrorist group and Islamic culture that would bury them up to their necks in the ground and then stone them to death simply because they are gay.

Isn’t that slightly worse than denying them marriage?  Maybe I am dense but I really think so.  Sure a civil union might not be the best deal in the world but at least you are still alive.

Must be some sophisticated nuance I just don’t get.

BTW,  I’m not taking a side on the gay marriage debate here.  I have one but you’ll never know it.  I am only pointing out four things.  One, Proposition 8 passed due to the overwhelming support of two very large liberal voting blocks. Two,  Barrack Obama is against gay marriage and yet my guess is 99% of gays voted for him anyway.  Three, liberals, and in this case gays, constantly slam evangelical Christians because they are against gay marriage yet support that other religion that would kill them for simply being gay.  And finally, because this woman raps like crap.

So as not to be all down and stuff,  so here’s some good news for gays.

Call it a Christmas present for gay and lesbian couples. President Bush signed the Worker, Retiree and Employer Recovery Act of 2008 (WRERA) two days before Christmas. The new law makes it mandatory for businesses to roll over retirement benefits to a same-sex partner in the event of the employee’s death.

Previously, employers could decline and surviving same-sex partners would have to pay tax on the inheritance of the deceased partner’s retirement savings. Legally married heterosexual couples automatically avoid that tax penalty.

National LGBT rights groups hailed the move. “This legislation secures much-needed protection for lesbian and gay couples,” said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese. “Our community faces unique challenges in preparing for retirement because we are denied Social Security spousal and survivor benefits. Protecting our hard-earned retirement savings is even more crucial to us, and until now, the tax code made it that much harder.”

That old hater himself, George W. Bush. Go figure.
