Muslims Feeling The Love For Obama

This is wonderful news.

A friend from the Gulf tells me her young relative was so excited about the Democratic candidate that he tried to donate money over the Internet, as he’d heard so many young Americans were doing. Then he found out he had to be a U.S. citizen to do so. Another young woman, visiting from next-door Saudi Arabia, said that all her friends in Riyadh are “for Obama.” The symbolism of a major American presidential candidate with the middle name of Hussein, who went to elementary school in Indonesia, certainly speaks to Muslims abroad.

Sweet. And maybe he can convert to Islam and incorporate Sharia law into US law like the Archbishop of Canterbury suggested they do in England. That would really win them over.

Burkas anyone?

Oh yes, just to be clear. I am not remotely suggesting Barack Hussein Obama would do such a thing.  What I am saying is total conversion is the only way to gain the “love” of fanatical Muslims.   Electing a man with a Muslim name won’t do it.  “Turning the other cheek” as was suggested to me recently won’t do it. Appeasement just emboldens them to use more violence because they see results.

Surrender is the only way.

But hey, it’s nice to know they like him. Makes me feel all warm and safe.

You Might Be A Redneck Related To A Moron

If he gets run over by his own car.

Which is what one of my brother-in-laws did the other day.  His new car wouldn’t start and after pondering it for a bit he decided to crawl under it and “use a screwdriver” to start it.  When he did, the car, which was in “Drive,” drove right over him, causing some very painful, but not life threatening, injury to his dumb-ass. 

Now, according to the story, he had only driven cars with standard transmissions before and this was an automatic transmission so he wasn’t aware that the engine will not start unless the transmission was in “Park.”

Brilliant, I tell you, brilliant.

You might ask why I am being so mean about this and laughing at the nut.  Well, there are two reasons.  One, he is married to the one sister-in-law that I do not like – not even one bit – and it makes me giggle that she married such a loser (her second loser marriage actually).   And secondly, I wasn’t aware that there was anyone in past the age of 16 who who had not driven an automatic transmission before (except maybe someone who has lived in New York City their whole life and never driven any car).  

And this guy is in his late 20s.  

Sure, some people have never driven a standard shift, but an automatic?

I laughed when I heard it last night and I am still laughing about it.

What a moron.
