The Supreme Court affirmed our Second Amendment right to bear arms today. But only by a 5-4 majority. So here’s the deal.
If you are a gun-owning American, or simply an American who believes you should have the right to own a gun if you so choose, then you damn well better vote for John McCain in November. Because it is an abosolute certainty that President Barry Obama will appoint Supreme Court justices that will be more like the four dissenters in this case than the five who affirmed perhaps our most important Constitutional right.
And if that happens the next challenge to this right will succeed and you will lose your ability to defend yourself against criminals and, what is more important, against a tyrannical government.
And it won’t be George Bush’s government that’s for sure.
UPDATE:
A lot of lefty bloggers and talking heads are saying this decision kills the issue in the coming election. Nonsense. Like I said, it was only a 5-4 decision to keep arguably our most important Constitutional right and that could change in a heartbeat if Barry is elected and gets to select one or two SOTUS replacements. McCain should blanket the airwaves with ads saying this as there are plenty of liberal gun-owners out there.

Is pretty much summed-up in this gif. Not that I want to hit a woman. I don’t hit women. Spank yes, hit no. I just want to hit something.
1. No, sweetie, you can’t have that for Christmas. You’ll put your eye out.
2. Canada, like England, has apparently gone bat-shit crazy. I really do feel America stands more and more alone against a overwhelming tide of liberal, politically correct, appeasing nonsense lately.
3. Evidently if you want to get laid, this is the go-to high school.
4. Fourteen songs you should never play in a bar. Don’t all bars play their own music now? Via Groovy.
5. No way Yankee flour can make Southern biscuits. You might as well eat French bread.
6. I wonder what Barry thinks of this post-Obama victory prediction by Spike Lee : “That’s gonna change, though…gonna be a real Chocolate City!” Well, I do enjoy chocolate, but I always get a vanilla malt when we eat at a local diner. Make of that what you will.
7. Speaking of Spike Lee. I would like to ask him why he isn’t up in Iowa and the rest of the flooded areas along the upper Mississippi making another film like the one he did on the flooding caused by Katrina in New Orleans. Never mind, I know the answer.
8. Does your job ever feel like this?

Is one I have always been behind. Hmm, upon further reading it appears it’s about corporal punishment of kids by parents. Eh, I am for that too.

The title is a take on Amazon.com’s “Customers who bought this item also bought” sales pitch. The man is an Ohio judge who recently tossed Ohio’s death penalty. Which is not what is interesting to me. What’s interesting is the two guys he has on his wall. Known communist terrorist and murderer, Che Guevara, and Barry. Both heroes of the judge it appears.
The question is, why do people like this support Barry? What about him attracks them? John Hinderaker asks the right question. “Who is Barack Obama?”
Who, indeed.
And isn’t the irony of an anti-death penalty judge being a fan of a guy shot people in the back of the head just delicious. Guevara that is. I have no information that Barry ever shot anyone. Throw his mentors, friends, and employees under the bus, yes. But shoot? No.
Dick Cheney on the other hand, yes. But being shot by Dick Cheney would be an honor. I mean, it’s fricken Dick Cheney for heaven’s sake. That scar and story would be worth a dozen free drinks minimum in any bar in the country.
Hat-tip to Ace.
