1. Britain and France want to share aircraft carriers. Well, that is a recipe for disaster. Sort of like mixing pate de foie gras with fish and chips. It just isn’t going to work. Besides, in the end aren’t they both just going to call a US carrier for help anyway? Hat-tip to Frogsmoke.

2. A solider in Iraq uses a Koran for target practice and the military apologizes. I’ve got no problem with this. While it’s obvious that we are at war with Islamic radicals, it does us no good to anger those Muslims who do support us with this kind of childish crap. The soldier should be punished - although not a career-ending punishment - and an apology is appropriate. However, this part is absolutely unbelievable.

“The commander also read a letter of apology by the shooter, and another military official kissed a Koran and presented it to the tribal leaders, according to CNN.”

What the hell? Kissing the damn book? Are you freaking kidding me? There is no way this was appropriate. Hell, even if this “military official” was a Muslim Chaplinand this went too far. An apology does not include kissing ass.

3. Sweetie - A Case of Arrogance.

4. John McCain on SNL - “Fight amongst yourselves”. Plus, he does some great old jokes.

5. There can be only one.

6. As Dr. Tony says, this is just plain cool.

7. Again Dr. Tony is correct. This is not for men. This and Crocs.
