Stolen from Blowing Smoke because I’ve got nothing better to post right now and the moronic time-switch is really kicking my ass today.

You know, I had never seen this video, nor even heard of this song before - no Boomtown Rats fan was I and the song was banned in the USA - so I had to watch it three times (yeah, that kind of day) before I really caught onto the “mass-murder at school” theme. 

I thought it was a strange thing to write a song about, especially back in the 1970s before school shootings became all the rage, but a little Google and I find that a real school shooting was indeed the inspiration for the song.
